"Bil," a fictional character not related to anyone to whom I might be married, blows chunks all over the last train on the Brown Line for the night, in front of a fictional family of four. He had pizza, earlier, apparently. We wander the streets of Chicago with a barfy scarf, desperately searching for an ATM and a cabbie with no sense of smell. Mysteriously, no pictures remain of that tragic night...

That is all.

pants problems

I hate winter. I hate how many pairs of pants I have to wear to stay warm in winter. pants suck. I'm having a temper tantrum about my pants. All of them. The waist-lines don't match up, I have long johns up to my boobs and jeans at my hips and this very strange area in between that feels squished and out of place. I think I ate too much. Damn you, Quizno's, and damn you, winter, and damn these pants!!@! Bloody 12 degrees outside and 6:00pm. Sigh. I am so uncomfortable right now... grrrr.

that is all.

And I thought that Boston was cold....

So, it's about 15 degrees here. And tomorrow's high is 16.... and no, I'm not using the metric system. It's fucking cold! And it's only December. We've got snow on the ground, so I guess that it will indeed be a white Christmas here for us. We got our Xmas tree last night (well, it was dark, but it was only at like 4pm... uurrrrgh!) and already the madness has begun... Pepe the cat is crazy with mad-cat-lust over a few select glass ornaments that are just above his reach... I found a couple rogue ornaments on the floor this morning (thankfully not glass...).
And in other news, I'm stage managing a production of Seascape by Edward Albee through February. It's easy, part-time stuff, but every little bit helps. I haven't SM'ed since college and I was really worried that I'd totally fuck it up -- it always seemed such a daunting task at UCR, but thus far, I've been alright. And they were all pleasantly surprised when I sent out rehearsal reports... It's a small company, but good people.
Also, I face a dilemma, pondering readers, should I go back to Stagedoor Manor this year? They asked, and I really don't know. The money would probably be better -- I heard rumors of a built-in raise to returning peeps, and I know theatre slows down in the summer here in the Chicago area, but I don't know if I want to do summerstock again this summer... It would mean leaving Bil and the cats for 3 months, or conversely, wrangling him a job there and finding someone to care for the cats for the summer.... And summer is the one season that I like being outdoors and playing a bit -- not possible while working 14-16 hour days.... Maybe I'm talking myself out of this.....
Ah, fuck it.... Weigh in, please, readers.... I need advice.

That is all.
