Truth-seeking website The Smoking Gun alleges that many of the incidents written about in James Frey's Memoir A Million Little Pieces are falsified.

People, this book is on Oprah's sacred book list! What are we to do? What exactly did he lie to us about? Why did he do it? Why did he betray our trust like this? Why did he shatter his readers' worlds into a million little pieces like this by lying? And the most pressing question: WHO CARES? For fuck's sake! It's a book. It's touted as a memoir, but so was Chuck Barris' unauthorized autobiography Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. This is news?! It's 4:30 in the fuckin' morning and now I'm just annoyed.
